What you get

Only what an age check needs
The user may cover every field except first name, last name, date of birth and photo, for example the document number or the address. The check still works.

What we keep
- Without Block repeat accounts: the document images, selfie and video are deleted right after the decision, and nothing is kept.
- With Block repeat accounts turned on: photos, video and verification data for 30 days, and a face template and a device fingerprint hash for 12 months, to block banned users.

What data do I get back?
Whether the user is over or under your age threshold, plus their first name, last name and date of birth by API. Use Identity verification (KYC) if you need the other fields of the document.

When your rules ask for an ID document every time, or when you need the user's name and date of birth. Otherwise start with Facial age estimation, which falls back to an ID document at no extra cost when the face is inconclusive.
Do you keep the document images?
Not unless you turn on Block repeat accounts. Without it, the document images, selfie and video are deleted right after the decision. With it, they are kept for 30 days, and a face template and a device fingerprint hash for 12 months, so banned users can be recognized.
