In a booking flow
Create Verification returns a URL. Put it in the checkout, in the booking confirmation email, or send it after the booking is made.
What happens to the data
- Hosted in Google Cloud EU regions by default. US regions on request.
- In Private mode, the selfie and document images are deleted right after the decision.
- In Protected mode, media and verification data are kept for 30 days. The face template and device fingerprint hash are kept for 12 months, to catch banned users.
- Encrypted in transit and at rest (TLS 1.2+, AES-256).
Pricing
One price per verification, the same in Private and Protected mode: $0.30 for Identity verification (KYC) and $0.30 for Age verification by ID. Blocklists and duplicate detection are included. A verification is billed once, when it reaches a decision, and abandoned ones are free.

Questions from rental businesses
Do repeat customers have to verify again?
Through the API, each verification you start is billed once, when it reaches a decision, so your booking flow decides when to ask again. If you sell through Shopify, WooCommerce or PrestaShop, the store app recognizes a customer who has already been verified.
Can we check before the booking is paid, or after?
Either. Create the verification at checkout, or send the link after the booking is made.
Which documents can renters use?
Passports, ID cards and driver's licenses from 190+ countries. For US and Canadian driver's licenses, we read the barcode on the back and check it against the front.
Does it replace checking the license at pickup?
No. It adds an online check before pickup. You can still look at the physical document.
Can we stop a renter who caused trouble from booking again?
Yes. Put their face and device on your blocklist. A later verification with the same face or from the same device is caught, even with a new email. It is included in the price.
