Keep banned users out

Face blocklist
Ban someone once, and a later verification with the same face is caught, whatever email, phone number or document they use.
Device blocklist
Block the device a banned user verified from, so a new account from that device is caught too.

What happens to your users' data
- Hosted in the EU
- Google Cloud EU regions by default. US regions on request, agreed in writing.
- Private mode keeps nothing it does not need
- Photos and video are deleted right after the decision.
- Protected mode remembers, to protect
- Photos, video and verification data are kept for 30 days. A face template and a device fingerprint hash are kept for 12 months, so blocklists and duplicate detection work.
- Encrypted in transit and at rest
- TLS 1.2 or higher for all traffic, AES-256 at rest.

Marketplace verification: FAQ
We already run KYC through our payment provider. Do we need this?
Your payment provider's payout KYC checks who gets paid. ProofAge checks the person using the profile, can run before the first listing, and it blocks banned faces and devices across new accounts.
Do you do background checks?
No. We verify identity and age. Background checks are a separate service.
Can we pass the cost to users?
Yes. Many marketplaces charge a small fee for a verified badge. It is your choice.
Can we show a verified badge?
Yes. Set it from the webhook result.
How do duplicate accounts get caught?
Each verification is compared with the face templates from earlier verifications in your account, kept for 12 months. If the same person already verified for another account, the result tells you. A device blocklist catches new accounts from a device you blocked. Both need Protected mode.
