One API for every check: create a verification, send the user the link, get the result by signed webhook.

Ways to integrate

REST API

The API lives at https://api.proofage.net. Requests are signed with HMAC, and results reach your server by signed webhook.

SDKs

They sign requests and check webhook signatures for you.

For AI coding agents

The MCP server lets an agent such as Claude Code or Cursor set up a test account, read the integration guide, create verifications and replay webhooks against your local handler. The integration prompt is a ready brief to paste into your coding agent.

Connect it your way

No developers? Zapier (beta)

Create a verification from a form, a new order or a new sign-up, and send the result back to your CRM or spreadsheet. Ready recipes for forms and Google Sheets. Access is by invite link, on request.

By default only the decision and flags go to Zapier. Document data goes only when you turn it on.

Online stores

A Shopify app, a WooCommerce plugin and a PrestaShop module (pending PrestaShop approval) add an age check to checkout without code.

How it works for online stores

We help you integrate: ready SDKs, Zapier recipes, and direct help from the developers who built it.

What an integration looks like

Create a verification and send the user to the link you get back. When the verification reaches a decision, the webhook URL you set in the dashboard receives a signed request. The SDKs sign the request and check the signature for you.

1. Create a verification

POST https://api.proofage.net/v1/verifications
Content-Type: application/json

{
  "external_id": "user-123",
  "callback_url": "https://yoursite.com/account/verified"
}

2. Receive the result

POST https://yoursite.com/webhooks/proofage
(signed with HMAC: check the signature before you trust the body)

{
  "external_id": "user-123",
  "status": "approved"
}

Free test mode

Build against a sandbox with its own API keys. Test verifications are always free and never count toward your free verifications or your bill.

You set the outcome of a test verification yourself and watch the webhook arrive, so you can try approved and declined results before a real user sees the flow. Swap in the live keys when you're ready.
